What a lovely sweet story although for Martha Jackson it wasn't having been left a widow and pregnant Martha had very few options open to her so she became a Mail Order Bride she thought she had found a man who would take care of her and her soon to arrive baby but on arriving at Cherry Tree Springs in Texas Martha found not only was her betrothed dead but he'd had no intention of marrying her at all Here she met Robert Samuel's a young man who lived on a ranch with his mother and even though they were without funds he offered help but Martha refusedEven though near Christmas human kindness was not evident in Cherry Tree Springs and Martha was turned away from everywhere she made her way to the Samuel's ranch and slept in the barn for a number of days until she had her baby Even though the Samuel's had little they offered Martha a home and for her a HEAI would thoroughly recommend this book for the ahh and 'feel good factor'
