Win Dráddor to her side before he discovers the secret that will destroy all But the Saracen warrior Niketas has other plans He needs the blood of two virgin half immortals to win eternal life and the powers of the gods Until the god Heimdallr Xára's true sire makes it clear he has other plans for his beloved daught. This story was okay for me It wasn't bad and it did have a well 3 dimensional plot lines to it but it lacked something really addicting1 First I am unsure if this book is in a series or something but there are many times I thought to myself that there needsis already another book to tie these appearing couples together For now I am just going to assume that there are additional books 2 I enjoy books that can use dialog in retrospect of the time that the characters are currently in But then there are times that you really wish that they moved on the general usage of a word because it becomes annoying and too redundant This book had a few of those; Puss titties and cltties was WAY OVER ABUSED that reading the sex scene made me literally cringe at the thought 3 That being said the random innuendos came off as just bad timing to me I realize that having dialog stating To take your mind off of it I been thinking about you Puss” And no Garfield or Heath Cliff never made an appearance in this title but yes I ended up with one strange dream the night after Let's leave it at that4 The sizzle wasn't much since the wind was knocked out on point this the 2 3 points made above I really leapt over these due to my lack of interest in them 5 Convenient characters kept conveniently popping up More to the point at referencing that point to the relatives of the Viking with that last line It just felt too obvious and an addition to that it just made it harder to remember all the characters that came to play in this book If that wasn't the case there even were some characters that seemed to leave no doubt as to why they were there I made everything predictable for 90% of it6 The biggest issue I think I had with this book is that there was too much climax and not really a big enough release Heck this book starts out that way Fate had cheated him” A way to simplify that statement would to say that his dream of killing the man who killed his father was taken away from him by another This happened a lot in this story Magnhidur was set out to be the wicked witch of the West It even sickened me how easily the heroes plotting her demise came off as immoral than anything she could do But at last no one was able to claim that prized because someone else killed her that was not in that group So as we continue the story never actually battle one of the main evil characters except for Negil But even that scene seems short lived and very unclimatic as anyone could ever reach Over all I like the dept and the multiple layers of how the story played I loved that the characters where true to their purpose and original design I love most of all the child Evie She was a well written character and could not help to love her spirit So I can honestly see that other readers may go either way on liking this book I don't think I personally will be dwelling on keeping up with any additional book related to it

Wow I had heard Jianne Carlo's Viking men were sexy but nothing uite prepared me for the hammer wielding raging berserker of a love god that hero Draddor is I fully enjoyed this book with its palace intrigue hints at godly intervention and divine love scenes Draddor is a wonderful Alpha hero a towering blond warrior man my favorite kind His heroine Xara was a delight Ms Carlo wrote her well Considering Xara was mute for part of the novel I was completely drawn into her point of view So well written I will absolutely look for of Ms Carlo's Viking books and can see why they have won accolades Well done
